Wairua Stream — Attraction in North Island

Booked a water taxi from the i-Site in Rotorua. Normally this will take you to the hot-water-beach campground a little further along, but he offered to drop us here instead. Best thing we ever did.

The walk out: Moderately steep walk some of the way - we're not the fittest - the 11km walk back to the car from here was around 4 hours including a tea break. Leave a little more time than the signs suggest unless you are pretty sure of your fitness.
