My family and I recently had the pleasure of visiting Rob's Alpaca Farm, and it turned out to be an absolutely delightful experience. From the moment we stepped onto the farm, we were greeted with warmth and hospitality by the owner, Rob.
What stood out to us immediately was Rob's friendliness and flexibility. We initially booked our visit for July, but due to unforeseen circumstances, we had to reschedule for November. Rob was incredibly understanding and accommodating, making the process of rescheduling a breeze. His customer-centric approach set the tone for a positive experience.
What truly made our visit special was the attention Rob gave to ensuring that everyone, especially the kids, had an enjoyable time. My child was not only fascinated by the alpacas but also thoroughly enjoyed the interactive and hands-on experience that Rob provided. He took the time to answer their questions, let them feed the alpacas, and even taught them about the different types of alpaca wool.
In addition to the alpacas, the farm itself was well-maintained, creating a serene and picturesque setting. The combination of friendly alpacas, a knowledgeable guide, and the scenic surroundings made our visit to Rob's Alpaca Farm a memorable and highly recommended experience for families and animal enthusiasts alike.
If you're looking for a unique and heartwarming adventure, Rob's Alpaca Farm is undoubtedly the place to be. We left with smiles on our faces, new knowledge about alpacas, and wonderful memories that will...
Read moreWe stayed at the beautiful farmstay a couple of months back. Annemieke was a wonderful host, so friendly and welcoming. We were treated to a delicious breakfast with homemade bread, which we enjoyed overlooking the farm on a perfect Kapiti morning. The accomodation is immaculate with small attention to detail that make it such a lovely environment, we wish we could have stayed for longer!
The following morning we went on the alpaca walk with Rob, who is very knowledgeable and has a great sense of humour! The walk is very easy going with a gentle climb to a gorgeous view over to Kapiti Island. It was very well organised with Rob taking time to chat with everyone and make sure we all felt comfortable along the way.
Highly recommend the alpaca walk as a fun activity (whether you're a Wellington local or from out of town), and if you're looking to treat yourself, you won't regret staying at the farmstay.
Thank you so much for hosting us Rob and...
Read moreRecommend as a cool thing to do for a birthday party with friends. Get out in the open, see big vistas, feel the wind in your hair and the sun on your skin, all with an alpaca in tow! It's a mini-trek, of a sweet distance & duration, and it is neat getting to know the idiosyncrasies of your own assigned alpaca. Mine was Magnum, a stubborn boy, but I have much respect for a creature that knows its own mind so that suited me very well. I also enjoyed the process of learning that Magnum was less stubborn if Peter Pan was behind him, nudging him along, as everyone needs a little encouragement from their friends sometimes. So yeah, Walking with Alpacas is a cool experience and you learn stuff about animal behaviours and needs. Also they are soft and fluffy. Our host for the day was Rob, who was honest and direct, and attended well to all the humans and...
