My favourite beach. No parking so tends to be locals rather than visitors and often I’m the only person on the beach. Beautiful. Also - it’s called Ding Bay because the rocks in the water put dings in your surfboard - you have been warned!

Possibly the beach beach in New Zealand. Can be accessed by either a stair set leading off of cove road or the more rewarding option of a walk through the pancake rocks from Waipu cove. The beach itself is covered in pancake looking rocks structures and pohutakawa trees.

The only problem is sharks, normally...
