Anchor Bay — Attraction in Rodney

We are still on Christmas break, and were bored at home, it was a very nice warm sunny day, so I googled best Beach's near Auckland, and this was one of the that come up, never been to it before, it took us about roughly an 1hr drive there. Well worth it. Beach had beautiful white sand, lots of people around, water nice and clean and clear, there is quite abit of shady places around, had toilet and changing rooms, the toilet wasn't the greatest. But then I think someone had naughty through a brandy new roll in the toilet, shame on them who ever you were. Stop vandalising what doesn't not belong to you, think of everyone else, we all want to enjoy. Apart from that nice place to have a picnic, however, be aware that the seagulls are an absolute nightmare, do not feed them, hide your food stuff away they will get to it, if you are not around. Has quite a big car parking area too, obviously park at your own risk, don't leave valuables in the car, car park area to the beach is with in walking distance too. TAKE YOUR SURF BOARDS AND BOOGY BOARDS if you have any, it has nice waves...

One of the best beach in auckland , which is not very far form auckland city , very clear water and big waves are full of fun ,great place for kids and adults , water levels are great for people who are not friendly with water , good place for family and friends...

Beautiful setting for swimming and enjoying the beach. Close by, beautiful bush walks are available through kauri forest that's not yet closed to the public. Very scenic area, and on a Saturday morning, you can also visit the Matakana markets on...
