The walk to Beacon Point is lovely and flat, and you see people of all ages walking on the track. It's an approximately two hour return trip (depending on walking speed. Two hours for intermediate walkers). There are toilets and a water fountain on the way, as well as a few picnic areas. On route, you pass the yacht club as well as a nice park and bay. You are encouraged to stop and water some saplings with the dedicated water butts along the front. Overall, a...

There is an amazing view of the southern alps from this beautiful little spot. From beacon point road's dead end, you can get some amazing photos of the alps. The lakeside pebble beach is framed by snow peaked mountains.

An idyllic place to relax. I had a great time there. The place was very quiet, with a lot of ducks and a few rabbits. There is parking right by the lakeshore. It's a great place to go for walks or cylcle around the lake or...

Beautiful little spot with amazing views of the southern alps. We continued to the dead end of beacon point road where you can get some amazing photos of the alps from the shoreline. 5 minutes drive from town and not to busy. We were there during the winter school holidays and...
