Fantail Falls in New Zealand is a must-visit destination for anyone looking to experience the beauty and splendor of nature. Located in the heart of the Coromandel Peninsula, this stunning waterfall is a hidden gem that is not to be missed.
The journey to Fantail Falls is just as breathtaking as the destination itself. From the moment you leave the main road, you will be enveloped by the lush greenery of the forest that surrounds you. As you wind your way through the winding roads, you will catch glimpses of the waterfall through the trees.
Once you arrive at the parking lot, you will need to take a short walk through the forest to reach the falls. The trail is well-maintained and easy to navigate, even for those who may not be as physically fit. Along the way, you will be treated to beautiful views of the surrounding landscape, including dense forests and rolling hills.
When you finally reach Fantail Falls, you will be rewarded with a truly breathtaking sight. The falls are a series of cascading waterfalls that plummet down into a crystal clear pool below. The water is so clear that you can see all the way to the bottom, and the constant rush of the falls is soothing and calming.
I highly recommend visiting Fantail Falls during the warmer months, when you can take a dip in the refreshing waters. The pool is quite deep, so be sure to take caution when swimming.
Overall, Fantail Falls is an absolute must-see destination in New Zealand. The journey to get there is just as enjoyable as the destination itself, and the falls are simply breathtaking. Whether you are looking for a peaceful place to relax or an adventure in nature, Fantail Falls has something...

The area approaching the waterfall has lot of pebbles and a big piece of tree bark in its natural shape. There ris a viewing deck but it is okay to come down. I am not sure if there is a stream which flows through it but it was quite dry when we went. We played around a bit, climbed the bark, made structures with stones. There ris a point where you can see the snow peaked mountains as well from the viewing area. Enjoy the walk...

If you are in New Zealand and travelling through the Mt Aspiring National Park it's just a 2min walk from the car park to see this cool clean water tumbling down the rocky slopes of the mountain side. Treat...
