Lake Dispute Walkway — Attraction in South Island

There’s a small bay along the side of the road enough for about 5 cars to park. The sign for the start of the track is easy to see across the road. Nice and easy walk, gravelly and mostly uphill. 20 min into the walk, you see another sign where you can choose to either continue to proceed to Lake Dispute (another 20min) and even to the Mount Crichton Loop (another 40min), or branch off to Moke Lake (3-4hrs).

Just the walk to Lake Dispute alone took me 1hr20min return. I got to the top of the slope next to the lake that gave me the full view...

Incredible lake and because of the 40 min. Trekking, no people in there. Parking: you can park your car in front of the entrance in the street, or if you have a 4x4 you can park it over the entrance, but the little entrance it's not for all cars. Lovely short walk to lake dispute, usually very quiet and relaxing. From the lake there are than other tracks that you can follow to go to moke lake or mt crichton loop track.
