It's a 3klm gravel road, and then a 40 minute return walk to these falls, the longest walk to the 3 falls in this region. But it's worth it, and these are the most impressive falls in the area. Most of the walk is flat, shaded, and follows the stream, with one crossing over a solid bridge. It's as lovely walk, even before you reach the falls. But after the first glimpse there's a fairly steep walk to the main lookout, and, if you want to get up close, you need to then climb a small rockface, with no obvious steps or handholds.Many people had done this, some with small kids in tow, but many others stayed at the lookout, and a few gave up before the steep section of the path. Unfortunatelly it hets crowded quite easily so plan in advance if you want the best experience possible. But you will enjoy it anytime. toiletes on parking lot 15-20 minutes to get to the waterfall (nothing hard) There is a little bit steep encline with stairs at the end to get to the main waterfal. Below, there is second section, also nice. amazing vegetation along the walk for free
very steep gravel road to get to the parking lot. I was a little bit concerned (vanlife toyota hiace 1997) but it worked out. You should be fine as long as you dont have the weakest engine. crowded (a lot of tourists with tripods and monopods make it somewhat less enjoyable)

From this carpark it's an easy walk to what I class as the best falls in the Catlin's. McLean Falls is a stunner, from cascading high up, the water drops over a few levels before ending up flowing down a bush lined stream.
