Read moreFantabulous views as there are mountains everywhere! If you don't find yourself on top of one you'll be going up, down or around one. I stayed at Cupola Hut on my first day from Kerr Bay. It was one hell of a climb to the hut at the end of my hike - definitely not for the faint of heart. Well worth the view, would be more so in winter with the snow. I actually had the hut to myself! You can't see and even expect the lake's existence until you get to the car park... We spent a few hours here this time and made sure we kayaked in the lake.. The best place on earth to kayak no doubt, with the waters so pleasant, wind so light and no chill in the air.. We only kayaked for about an hour but I highly recommend taking atleast half a day and exploring the whole lake...
