Otira Gorge Rock Shelter Lookout — Attraction in South Island

Nice little area to stop for a good view over the rock shelter right next to the road. It’s quite interesting to see, you can see how the rock shelter literally has sheltered the road from a rockslide. Looks more dangerous from the outside than it actually feels while driving through. No gates to the viewing platform, meaning it’s open 24/7 unless the road might be closed due to dangers like rockslides n such.
