Great public facility. We were there for the Rangiora evening Market. We got some beautiful fresh vegetables, some delicious caramel slice (home made) real fruit icecream, spent a lot of time looking through a fantastic selection of books and listening to several wonderful local artists singing and playing. We were on our way home, when we saw the signs on the kerbside, and decided to go. Excellent food selections , including whitebait, burgers sausages coffee, milkshakes and smoothies. There were crafts galore, with clothing, hats warm knitted jackets, and children's and baby clothes. Prices were really good, the vegetables easily undercut the supermarkets (I got feijoas at a third of what the supermarkets are asking for noticeably inferior fruit. I know, I had my own feijoa orchard in Nelson). There were white elephant stalls, local products like cosmetics, woodwork, tool and implement sharpening, plants for the garden gorgeous art works and sculptured pots and a great variety of things for the home.. And the people were lovely, welcoming and friendly, A word of advice... Go there. Look out for the signs, and follow them to the Showgrounds. If you don't have a good time there, it is not the stallholders' fault. We weren't spending a lot because we were going home, not going shopping, but we were welcomed and engaged in...
Read moreDepending on the event being held there. The toilets are classic basic public toilets, nothing great, there are some spectacular events held here though!! Particularly the Muscle Car Madness annually in January. There are also local clubs hosted there, including a dog training and a pony club.
