Warg Riders & LOTR location 11th — Attraction in South Island

$55 entry when all one wants to do is to see the movie setting is somewhat ridiculous. You're effectively corralled into doing the rest pretty much against your will. Not worth the price, if you're looking for views Queenstown has plenty.

The "no walking" rule completely ruined it for me. If you're interested in everything then it might be worth it, but as a solo traveller it was a kick...

We paid 55 NZD to enter with our car and drove around, using the interactive map online. The views were amazing, the route guidance could be better here and there though. You are not allowed to walk everywhere, but in my opinion there is still plenty of opportunities to walk around. You cannot enter without a car, which I understand is disappointing for...

Amazing park, from the bottom to the top of the mountain, at least 8 different movie set locations in Rohan, (a lot of them are indicated by signs). Also amazing landscapes all around and full of deers, lamas, goats walking around. Free if you want to do it walking or 55 dollars by car, but I recommend to park in front of the barrier...
