Scenic Lakeside Walk, Even on a Windy Day! Despite a blustery day, the Rangatira Point Walking Track offered a surprisingly enjoyable experience. The strong winds whipped across Lake Taupo, creating dramatic, almost ocean-like waves – a unique and captivating sight! What made the walk particularly pleasant was the natural shelter provided by the trees lining the track. They offered a welcome respite from the wind, allowing us to comfortably enjoy the stunning views of the lake and surrounding landscape. The trail itself was well-maintained and easy to follow, making it accessible even in less-than-ideal weather. The contrast between the wild, windswept lake and the calm shelter of the track made for a memorable walk.
