Nice collections of old timbers instruments and saw mills instruments. Some tracktors I never seen before. I love this place for entertainment and experience of timbers systems. But they were closed before 3:30pm that day. So please give them a confirmation call before you go over there. Is they open or not. Unfortunately we didn’t see the inside of the museum houses. We will go...

This is a really awesome museum of Forrestry history in the 1900s. All very well looked after very informative. There's also a wildlife area explaining when they brought animals into the country and what trees are native too. The cafe that's on site does superb coffee. We also checked out Train world that's on site. I believe it's an extra charge to view. Well...

Great collection of equipment from the early settlers through to the 70's which showcase how NZ grew from simple logging through to sophisticated wood processing. Fantastic historical records from several companies, mostly in the Waikato & Bay of Plenty with a few from the King Country. Recommended.
