Guilty welcomed my family and I with opened arms as soon as we reached the top of the hill. I was immediately captivated by her charm, witty humour, and most sincere kindness. As I was looking through her many works of art, I was taken on a journey to many places only the art itself could tell you about. You could tell that Guity has a deep connection with her work, as she will talk her way through the different journeys and artistic processes of how and why she created a certain piece. There is a deep, intricate beauty to her work, some of the pieces deeply intrigued me. I could study her art for hours. Her bubbly nature as well as the stunning surrounding landscape her beautiful French style home is located makes for a thoroughly enjoyable experience, even for our teenagers who usually get ‘bored’ on my random studio hunting road trips- this one they all loved to be in and around and even got some laughs out of them. We purchased two of her paintings, of which I struggled to choose because I felt connected to so many of them. A beautiful, extremely talented artist, bold and colourful in spirit, what a wonderful woman. She was even happy to give advice and encouragement towards my own artistic journey. Walking into Guity's studio with panoramic views overlooking the estuary was like walking into a magical world of peace, beauty and opulence. Guity made us feel so welcomed as she generously shared beautiful stories with us and showed us her art and studio. Guity's artwork is inspiring, moving and deeply reflective - it truly was a euphoric moment viewing the artwork. I fell in-love with Guity's work 'Intuition' which moved me on a spiritual level, where I found so much love and joy for the sparkling beautiful women in the picture. Just like her artwork Guity sparkles and radiates warmth, generosity and love - it truly was a special experience being with her, a moment between perfect strangers that I will be forever grateful for.
