The animals were well behaved and manner than the olderlady at the reception. She was rude to start with. As we entered I asked her can I pet the dog as we always ask permission beforehand , she kept saying you can't pick up the dog many times slowly like we can't understand her and I told her I don't want to pick the animal just want to pet it . But could feel the hostiIe behavior i was being polite as a sign of respect for her age , I had a traumatic experience when I was a child with birds and I am terrified and I was trying to rise above so my daughter could see it and she kept saying rudely and loudly ,"look here, well u better not pass this on to your child and may be get some therapy , its a farm it has birds duh" continously.i politely explained I have tried therapy and tried walking away from her as I dint want to be around her . It was supposed to be a happy trip and this bitter old lady just ruined it , when the goose was inside the room she was rude to that other lovely young lady who was professional and friendly with us and made us welcome and asked her to take the goose away as it's loud envoirment for the goose indicating we were loud . And while leaving my friend and my baby went to say thank you and she said "well its good that the daughter is not like the mother " this was the second time she said that and laughed at my trauma. I've never seen someone so disrespectful in New Zealand all my life here . Thanking the young kind lady there for being so wonderful and putting up with the all known almighty lady.
Definitely a beautiful farm with well mannered animals which is more than what can be said about the reception lady . 5 stars for the animals and the place. It was really lovely and real cute donkeys n pony and deer n pigs n all . They've taken good care of animals. Nothing could be said bad about that. It's just the way one person treated us made it a...
Read moreI went here two weeks ago with my family and kids. Customer service is shocking. I felt the lady served us (Possibly the owner) is very racist and very unpleasant. Although there is a sign no dogs allowed they have two dogs running around and scared our kids. Dogs sleep on garden tables etc so its all muddy and have very poor hygiene. Toilets not too bad but could do with a better maintanace. Barn is really messy and there is junk all over the place. Only good thing is the adults swing. Both my kids were very sick after this visit. Place is pretty poor and not recommended. Go there if you like someone to treat you really badly and if you want to improve your patience. Since I have a very good patience, I kept my mouth shout and tried to get kids to enjoy with animals as much as they can. Not going there ever again. Tourists please be careful.
Answers to the reply below: I told you I was not the driver or that was not my car or i didn't travel in that car (you did not listen). You owe me apology for that. I was just a guy who took kids to the birthday party. I parked safely and was help the the car got stucked in the mud as really muddy next to the main entrance . You shouted to the wrong person and wrong party all together. My comment about everything else not related and I'm a genuine google commenter. Any person travel will realize what i mean by the quality of the place. Friends and family always will you good ratings but actual customer reviews does matter. Yes people travel and visit will realize this. I this its time for you to start improve the quality...
Read moreWhiti Farm Park was a great experience! From their welcoming staff (consisting mainly of a few cats, dogs, and a variety of birds) to their friendly farm animals, this beautiful little place, tucked away in the Coromandel Hills, is an amazing getaway for those wanting to experience nature's friendly faces. At the entrance of the park, you meet Daniel, the goat; the little blue Pukeko bird that runs to the driveway to greet you (don't be scared, he's really very nice and will come stand on your shoe); and Gigi, the parrot, who issues a clear "hello" amidst a series of squawks. The trip ends with a little trail walk through the Secret Garden to see the ostrich and the red deer. In between, there are plenty of fluffy sheep, llamas, alpacas, turtles and lizards, beautifully colored pheasants, miniature horses, exotic birds, sweet-natured possums, a curious wallaby, and many other animals to feed and learn about from their whimsical information signs. This beautiful space has it all and beckons you to come enjoy what it has to offer. I talked to the owner extensively about how he runs the place and have witnessed how he cares for each of the animals expertly and tenderly. These animals lead a very comfortable life at Whiti Farm Park and they love interacting with the people that come to visit them and feed them snacks. Overall, Whiti Farm Park was a wonderful experience and I recommend the place to all ages as one is never too young or too old to experience the...
