I recently had a great experience on the Beverage Walk Track located in the Waitakere Ranges. The walk itself was beautiful, with a variety of terrain to explore and stunning views of the surrounding landscape. The pipeline track was particularly cool to walk along, and the native tree photo ID walk was a great educational experience.

Overall, I highly recommend the Beverage Walk Track for anyone looking to explore the beauty of the Waitakere Ranges. The walk itself is beautiful, with a variety of terrain to explore and plenty of opportunities to learn about the local flora and fauna. Whether you're a seasoned hiker or just looking for a leisurely stroll, this is a great...

Starts at Arataki, Beveridge Track then connects to Exhibition drive, and also Pipeline Track. All are shared paths for cycling, walking, and dogs (on leash) Beveridge track has recently been upgraded so they are good quality gravel tracks. A bit steep in places where you must walk your bike (because it's a shared path). There are some lovely views, and it is relatively shady. They really need to make Parker Track which also connects to Arataki, accessible for bikes (even if just walking them) so that it connects up with Parker Road also and make it accessible to...

Good moderate track. Did the slip, pipeline, beveridge loop. If you start from the beveridge track (entry opposite end from visitor centre) it's an easy flat/downward trail until you reach the 'Slip' portion of the trail where there's a steep incline. Took 1hr 40min with no stops. I had to use Google maps to make sure I'm going the right way as there were multiple crossways with no signage. Keep in mind you will be walking through residential gravel road for a small portion of the 'beveridge' part...

The Beveridge, Pipeline and Slip tracks make for a great hike to go on with friends. The route is easy to follow, although there are a few steep inclines and the gravel road can require some careful navigation at times. There is a lot to enjoy, including beautiful native plants and birds and amazing views of the dam below. The visitor centre also has lookouts where you can appreciate the size of the valley, mountains, and dam and watch kereru flying. There is plenty of parking near the visitor centre.
