Hey, I wanted to share my experience at the park—it was so much fun! From the moment you enter, the excitement starts. Getting tickets can be a bit tight sometimes, especially if there’s a crowd, but everyone eventually gets sorted. There are three ticket options: Gold, Platinum, and Black. Gold is ₦10,000 for adults and ₦7,500 for kids (ages 2-10) and covers basic activities. Platinum is ₦15,000 and includes everything in Gold plus more, while Black is ₦25,000 and gives you access to everything, including exclusive activities. Now about the zoo: the Gold ticket doesn’t include access to the zoo. You’ll need to purchase a separate ticket for ₦3,500 per person. However, the Platinum and Black tickets do include zoo access. Also, kids’ tickets (₦7,500) come with zoo access included. The zoo itself was amazing! There were so many animals to see—ostriches, emus, black mambas, pythons, lions (a lion and a lioness), a young cheetah, hyenas, a warthog (my first time seeing one!), crocodiles, and even another crocodile-like animal I can’t remember the name of. I also saw chimpanzees, velvet monkeys, baboons, guinea fowl, eagles, and ducks swimming. The atmosphere was great; the kids were laughing and everyone was excited—it made the experience even better. Once inside the park, there’s so much to do! From rides like the merry-go-round and pirate ship to the pool with slides and paddle boat rides. There are also restaurants where you can buy food (₦5,000+) and drinks (₦1,000+), or you can bring your own. The park is family-friendly and accessible for people with disabilities—I even saw someone in a wheelchair enjoying the space. There’s also ample parking available. If you’re visiting, I’d recommend coming early, like 10-11 a.m., to make the most of your day. By afternoon, the lines for tickets and activities can get pretty crowded. Also, it’s a bit pricey, so plan for expenses. For a family of three (tickets, food, and drinks), you might spend around ₦60,000-₦70,000. Overall, it was a fantastic experience! There were so many activities that I couldn’t even try them all, but I had a blast. It’s expensive but definitely worth it for the fun and memories.

Maryam Babangida Leisure Park is truly a hidden gem in Asaba! This sprawling recreational space offers an incredible variety of activities for everyone, whether you’re looking for relaxation or adventure. The serene accommodation is perfect for a weekend getaway, with rooms that are well-maintained, comfortable, and surrounded by lush greenery. I woke up to the calming sounds of nature. The park itself is beautifully landscaped, with ample space for picnics and quiet reflection. The zoo is a delightful surprise, featuring a decent range of animals that are well-cared for. It’s a great spot for families with kids. For the adventurous, the park offers exciting activities like paintball, go-karting, kayaking, and even basketball. The kayaking experience was my personal favorite—paddling across the serene waters felt both thrilling and relaxing. The swimming pool area is clean and inviting, with lifeguards on duty, making it a safe space for all ages. What impressed me most is the attention to detail in every corner of the park, ensuring a blend of fun, relaxation, and safety. The staff were friendly and always willing to help, which made the experience even more enjoyable. Whether you’re a local or visiting Asaba, Maryam Babangida Leisure Park is a must-visit destination. It has something for everyone and guarantees unforgettable memories!

A very beautiful leisure park, the thing I like most about it is that it's kept very clean. All the activities listed on the site and in the pictures are exactly like that and some even more beautiful. The zoo is kept clean, some animals looks unhealthy. Regardless they have a lot of animals both land and aquatic and even some prominent birds. If you are looking for a leisure park around Asaba, Maryam Babangida Leisure Park may be the right fit with its natural beauty and varied attractions. From leisurely strolls through lush greenery to encounters with fascinating wildlife, the park offers a serene retreat for individuals and families alike. Despite areas for improvement, the park's commitment to cleanliness and its array of activities make it a worthwhile destination for anyone seeking relaxation and adventure amidst nature's splendor.
