I just feel they need more and better hands.
It needs to be cleaner.
And it needs to have a better flow.
One second you are looking at a croc, next second there's a dog cage with konkoes swinging beside it.
For the region we are located in, surely we could have better and more exotic animals on display.
The land meant for the zoo at the back should be reclaimed as there are rumours of it being sold off.
Noise from loudspeakers in churches nextdoor blaring nonstop can't be right for those poor animals
It seems more like an animals prison than a comfortable exhibition.
The croc/gator that's there needs more room. It's enclosure looks like a small washroom with bright tiles.
20ft x 50ft maybe for 2 lions??? And a small filthy room where they go to hide from the heat and rain.
It's sad. But I don't hate it. Or dislike it.

Read moreThe zoo is located towards the extreme of airport road, just before the ogba river. You'll get to see a wide range of animals both extinct and otherwise. The tortoise is always a classic for me each time I visit. As child I used to come here alot for family picnic and school excursions. The environment is quite spacious, with places to have private picnics or birthday parties and all. They have children play area with tents and clowns especially during the festive seasons. The only problem I have with the place is the lack of proper maintenance by the local authority. I believe they could have done better. You wouldn't get food to buy there so people generally just bring their own food. But you'd get drinks and snacks. A local market is nearby; just adjacent the zoo.
