Read moreMagicland formerly called Wonderland is the biggest Amusement park in Abuja and is home to some pretty cool and fun rides to try in Abuja. Entrance fee for Adults is 500 naira. All the rides range from about 600 - 1500 naira per person. You have to buy tickets before you can go on any ride here. There are multiple ticket shops all around the park as well different sitting areas here.
The park has recently been renovated and they added two new rides which are the Pendulum and the Disco. Pendulum is such a cool ride and you get an amazing view of the sky. Disco allows you to dance to the beat while getting shook around. Both rides cost 1500 each. Some of my personal favourites are the Water Splash, the Rollercoaster, the Bumper Cars and Catastrophe. There's also an indoor arcade where you can play arcade games and ride the bull. There's also a petting zoo with a few animals.
In terms of food, there's a nice slushie stand which sells slushie for 500 naira and other snacks such meat pie, sausage rolls and drinks too. There's also a Suya grill which offers mainly beef suya. The main restaurant was closed and unfortunately we didn't have much to eat at all. The food is very limited here.
My main complaint is regarding safety features on some of the rides. Particularly for Water Splash and Rat Race (Rollercoaster), they need to insert seatbelts in each cart, change the seat cushions and provide raincoats...
Read moreIt was fun here. The gate fee to enter is #500 with a free ride and #300 without free ride. The prices of the rides ranges from 500-1000 I went for the waterslide and was disappointed to realize it only operates on Saturdays and Sundays so that was sort of a killjoy as I went on a weekday, but nonetheless I had an amazing time here..
There are scary rides and not so scary one, there's age restrictions however to protect little kids.
The highlight of this place however is the ARCADE!!! Damn it's beautiful, has all sorts of games and challenges. There's also a forest garden in there where you can sit and chill. In the arcade games are played with tokens (coins) the coins are purchased at the ticket stand for #100 per coin and depending on the game you choose to play, you can spend 3/4/5/6 coins per round. The prices of food in the arcade are fair also.
If I could recommend rides for you based on my most enjoyed one (trust me to ride all 😂) I'd recommend a the Boat ride and the rollercoaster. Both have the most thrilling experience for me (remember I'm yet to try out the water slide and the other mighty ferris wheel as those are for weekends)
So yes, I can conclude this place is well managed when compared to other amusement parks I've visited in the past. Till my next adventure (I have to focus on...
