Disclaimer! I stand the risk of being slightly biased as I love being at the beach! Elegushi beach was an awesome experience. As soon as we got there, we paid N1,500 each instead of N1,000 to get in(apparently they had a music show we had no interest in attending).
As soon as we alighted, we were instantly assaulted with a pungent urine odour emanating from a wall nearby, this was quickly forgotten by the time we walked to the water front.
I was completely blown away!π And instantly started playing in the water waves, We took a lot of pictures, played and laughed!
There were these water breakers made of large rocks that and arranged a few meters into the water, the adventurers in us decided to climb the stones to get a different view. We did and set out to cross the red danger sign ribbon( Dont blame us its called wanderlust). Then the funniest thing happened! This Agbero approaches us and says he was in charge of the beachπ€£ and the clearly dangerous part of the beach we were hiking to is for Vip and we had to pay N1,000 each before going in, My friend replies "with when you jump into the water it becomes VVIP right?!!!π" , hilarious banter ensued and he eventually obtained #500 from us, only for the real lifeguard/staff on duty, uniform and all to approach us shortly asking us to move out of the stones back to the shore, we did and ...(as an inside Joke), told him we had already given the agbero N3000 @1,000 each... he immediately ran after Mr. Agbero...where he was spending money he just obtained buying alcohol and marijuana. They came back together shortly and oga agbero started protesting the N3000, saying he collected only N500... staff asked him..why he collected any money at all while he kept of swearing and insisting his innocence... anyway we all eventually had a good laugh.. I also noticed a no of "bumbum shaking" video shoots going on around...
We went there with a box of yummy @krispykreme donuts which was a great idea...
I mostly enjoyed playing with the water waves... I didn't enter too far inside though.(I get mama we like me), I however saw this everly adventurous oyinbo that will jump into the water and wait for the waterwave to bring him back to the shore... this I watched in awe and total amazement from my very safe distanceπ―π²π..
It was fun to walk by the shore with the boo, the air was soft, fresh and sweet. The water view was obscenely beautiful. However, there were a few log of woods and debris here and there in the water. Would be nice if they payed attention to it..
It was a memorable and enjoyable experience and I would...

Β Β Β Read moreI was extremely disappointed. I couldn't stop wondering how I paid so much for so little or no value at all. In my disappointment, I forgot to take pictures to back up my review. First off, we paid per head at the main entrance. My thoughts were we were not paying anything again since we paid per head. Secondly, parking is very insufficient and there's no assistance. Thirdly, access to information is almost non-existent. Example, there's no board at the gate stating what the legal fees to be paid are: per head or per vehicle and how much. Same applies at the entrance to the family area and the water front. Fourthly, it is a small space. Very very small space at the water front. I miss landmark. Fifth on this review, we had to pay a whopping N10,000/ adult to access the beach. That's after paying N2000 at the gate. This made me wonder if I shouldn't have just paid a fee for parking at the gate. Was I scammed? Who knows? No info anywhere. Is the mgt part of the scam?! Landmark beach which makes this place look like a slum didn't charge up to a quarter of 10k for all the goodness they offered. The last for this review, it is DIRTY and dangerous at the water front. All sorts of trash which included wood that had nails on them. What's a visit to the beach without being able to feel the water on your feet?! A lot needs to be done by the management. A good place to start is to go get lessons...
