Although a timid mountain, Mavrovo (Zare Lazarevski) lately has been the only ski center that has received proper pist treatment. When snow is available and temperatures are adequate, with the additional usage of snow blowers, they can tailor some mean pistes. With around 12 various lifts, this ski center has a lot of soul due to the 4 lounge huts located at various locations. There you can find all types of amenities - including food, snacks, coffee, drinks, toilets, etc. Make sure to arrive before 09:00 since tickets purchase can be slow. Read moreI was really surprised that this place got an average rating of 4.4. I visited the Borovets resort in Bulgaria, and it was terrible—but this place is even worse. Poor snow quality, inadequate facilities, and complete disorganization. As always in Macedonia, the staff are rude and unfriendly—classic Balkans.
In Italy, I got a 6-day ski pass for €125, yet Macedonia seems to be competing with Italian prices. I hope their salaries match Italy’s as well. • Ski pass: €25 • If you go after 12 PM, it’s half price. • Free parking is available. • Ski and clothing rental shops are right next to the resort. • Restaurant: inadequate.

Affordable rental needs as well; if something doesn't fit how you need it to fit, don't be shy- let the shop person helping you know and get a different item or you'll be uncomfortable and it could ruin your day. Make the day yours.
