Aqua Park Probishtip — Attraction in Municipality of Probishtip

Very good waterpark with a lot of slides and things to do. There is a part for very small kids, a part for swimming, a pool bar, lazy river and various slides. Slides were all very good and the staff working around them is helpful and polite. The lazy river is maybe too lazy- you don't move almost at all, but for us it wasn't a problem. But other than that all the activities are very good. When we visites all pools were clean as well as the other amenities. Inside you can only pay with a tag that you put money on when entering (if you don't spend the money they give it back upon exiting). You would need that for drinks/food and maybe the private sunbeds on the islands within the pool-all other sunbeds are free of charge and there are a lot of them throughout the park. The toilets and dressing rooms are ok, clean and sufficient. The only negative side is that there are no lockers so you have to put your valuables on the sunbeds. But they assured us there was plenty security inside so it wouldn't be a problem. We had no problems with this. From food and drinks, we tried doughnuts which are a bit pricey-150mkd or about 2.5eur but they come with complementary coffee so probably it is not an awful high price. Sodas are around 100mkd/1.5 eur so it is not too much. We didnt try anything else so for the other foods/drinks I could not comment-all I saw is that by the pool there is mainly pastry/doughnuts/tosts and the cooked meals are a bit further from the crowd, pool and slides. We visited on a Friday so it wasn't too crowded, but it is not empy for sure. We tried to book via email before coming but we got a message that the booking system isn't working yet. So we came without booking and there was no problem. There is a big parking lot free of charge for pool visitors. All in all a good way to spend half a day/full day by the pool with fun slides. Unprofessional and overpriced. First, they tried to overcharge us for the admission fee. Then they charged us an additional 5 euro for the beach bed, even though there was no sign that it's charged additionally. Then the rides did not start operating until 11:30, even though the park opens at 10:00 (we were told that the staff were having their breakfast!). The staff consists of local youngsters, untrained and just plain unprofessional. Additionally, there is a deficit of rafts, so you have to walk around and waste time trying to find one.The food selection was rather poor and food quality was below average, but was still overpriced. Good idea but bad staff and bad food near the pool. There was a bar in the pool and we wanted to relax and drink something in the pool but the staff did not let their cigarettes out of their hands while serving us (we had to "beg" them to serve us something, they do not ask you and ignore you). They also just rinse the glasses with water, no soap. They are all kids and should be trained better. The food from the restaurant was good, but the food that is offered near the pool was awful. I think it had been sitting there for a week at least, it was all cold and stale. The park should be managed better and have a standard for their workers. Be careful you can't pay with money inside, you have to put enough money on an armband, but you get the rest back...
