Horrible!! Beach is abandoned! The beach is located in the Village of Stenje, which is on the bottom of National park Galičica at the North Macedonia, Greece and Albanian borders. There is Restaurant Riva and it's as abandoned as the beach. We were the only people there besides the server and perhaps a cook. Lake Prespa is known for having pelicans and we saw one. I was told that apple farmers from North Macedonia, Greece, and Albania pump water from Lake Prespa for their fields, which is why the water level of the lake is extremely low. The dock on the beach is a safety hazard- I tried to walk on it, but my foot went through a section. You can see grass is growing where the water used to be-this is how low the lake is. Read moreOhhh I feel so sorry about this place. I grew up at the beach, a lot of great moments, friends memories... It used to be great. Now..... well it is just grose! Nothing seqms to work. There are two huge ugly buildings on the beach which place is not there for sure. Last time I went there both did not work...m so they just occupy the place and make it ugly. The beach is not clean and the water level is too low. Lake Prespa has muddy bottom and I do not expect transparent water, but I believe the water is polluted with fecal wastewater and animal waste too. The road to there is terrible, not renovated since it was build. Be careful on the bumps.... Well... in conclusion, if you are nostalgic and interested to see how a great place could be...
