Before I went up there, I read the reviews. No way I was going to pay €5, so I acted stupid, only put 202MKD in my pocket and left the rest in the car. I said I don’t have 300 but here’s 202 and slowly counted out my cash. He looked at me for a minute and agreed to 180. The receipt says 3 x 60MKD. They basically charge foreigners 5x the cost of what a local would be. They get away with it because people are happy to pay it. I have to agree with most of the reviews on here. Being a huge traveler, I wouldn't say it was spectacular, definitely want worth the money we've been asked to pay.... Also, if you're lucky, you may not need to pay as there is just a guy sitting and waiting at the bottom to collect the money.
