Emblemssanden — Attraction in Ålesund

Emblemssanden (park's name, according to the highway sign) is a pleasant countryside park with beautiful views of the mountains across the inlet. A great place to take a break or have a picnic after (or before) the Sykkylven-Magerholm ferry.

Small but spread out park with several picnic tables, a meandering gravel walking path near the water (no vehicle entry beyond car park), a few very short woodland walks, and an area for volleyball (or similar sports on sandy ground). A couple of small sandy beaches. Free toilets located on a small rise before the car park.

A great sand beach nearby Alesund. Crystal clear water with Fjords view and plenty of space to play, swim and picnic. Less tidal waves and safe beach. There is a place to hike to nearby mountains and forest trail as well. Beach is equipped with changing rooms and toilets.
