It’s an interesting story to learn about but the site isn’t much to see when the event isn’t actually happening. You just see the platform where the fire is built. The placard was informative so I took a picture to remind myself why I also have a picture of an empty platform.

It's a must see for Norway enthusiast and fans. Arrive early and parking close will be no problem. If I need some inspiration, just watch my short video. If you get close enough, you can feel the heat weaves as the burning chunks are falling from the tower.

Ich bin extra 2 Tage vor Sankt Hans hier morgens vorbei, um den Turm zu sehen. Da ich keine Menschenmengen mag und nachts nicht schaffe, aufzubleiben, nahm ich absichtlich nicht am Fest teil, sondern guckte mir den Turm vorher an! Ich konnte ganz nah herangehen und ihn bestaunen. Was für eine Leistung! Ich hatte mal etwas im Fernsehen darüber gesehen und meine Reise so gelegt, dass ich ihn mir anschauen kann, wenn er fertig oder fast fertig ist.
