We were both beginner skiers so he took time to teach us the basics, helped us up when we fell (which happened a lot), took photos/videos of special moments, set up a bonfire with hot drinks and shared interesting stories of the local area and his work within the local slate industry. The owners gave us the tour personally, talked about the history of the family and demonstrated how to split the slate (it was amazing in that the worker tapped 4 places with a chisel and it split perfectly).
