I will give three stars because it is well kept and the person who works there is very friendly and helpful. But I don't like the message much. The first thing you see is a monument to the Germans who were killed... Inside there is a lot of info about the Germans, in a sort of neutral way. The documentary they show starts off with a full playing of "deutschland über alles" which seems in poor taste to say the least. Pictures of German and British veterans together as if it was some sort of regular territorial war like the Falklands war or something. But in fact it was a war against pure evil! The Germans killed represented pure evil! It is not appropriate to put up monuments for them, and I am shocked that the Norwegians allowed...

A small but perfectly formed museum regarding the destruction of the Battleship Tirpitz. Looks are deceiving, its a unique collection of artifacts along with interesting details of the famous vessel. As I was the only one there I was told some very interesting details that ordinarily I wouldn't have known, from the guide. Well worth a visit it's only 1 klm or so from the main road, however parking can be a bit troublesome. There are some Tirpitz remains in the layby between the bridge and tunnel nearby. Highly...

We had a very informative and interesting visit to the Tirpitz Museum. Even, the owner and curator of the museum, was very passionate in sharing information, explaining details and history to us; he even delayed his closing time by an hour to entertain our questions! We are very impressed by the quality of exhibits, documentary and descriptions provided in the museum, and would definitely recommend anyone, especially WWII history buffs, to come and visit.

The museum is small. It has a very large range of relics belonging to Tirpitz. Along with other artifacts from WW2. There is a movie showing the entire ship process. From launching into the sea to the stages that lead to its sinking. I believe the content is well presented and in chronological order. Entry cost around €10 and was worth every penny. Highly recommended visit.
