Matind Hike starting point at Baugtua. It’s a 3.8km hike (single) more or less to the end. It’s overall an easy hike, but be the first part is steep and you’ll have to hike through some rocky terrain. It took me 2,5 hours round trip.

When hiking you need to follow the O signs in red. Especially in the beginning you might miss them, but keep going as they become more obvious after 400-600meters.

Views are stunning and I would really recommend this to beginners. Make sure you bring some supplies (water, sweater, rainjacket,…) as it can get...

most reviews on here are correct. search “parking måtind” for right parking spot, it’s along the main road first 1.5km (for us one hour) is very steep, rock climbing at some part once at the top the wind kicks in and it’s another 3km relatively flat weather is very unpredictable and important. we had to turn around because of a rain and wind storm. would not recommend when it’s rainy. follow the red signs for the first hour, after that follow the rock towers (also easier to find when foggy)

would recommend for the fit and in...

1.5 hours walking Starts hard acending but plateaus off Views are great all the time. But best at the summit. Camping around the peak is very windy and others arrive at all times duting the night during midnight sun months so either find an area away from wind and from others on the peak for a less disturbed sleep, Or find a campsite down in Andernes or Bleik Well done for those who camped on the good photo...
