When I visited Flåm Church I went by train from Myrdal to Flam harbor. It's a very popular destination for cruise ships. A walk from Flam harbor to the church is highly recommended. You will walk through Flam valley for about 3 kilometers. Nature is breathtaking and you will see spectacular waterfalls on the mountains. During the walk you might also see the Flåm train running slowly through the landscape. The wood church is located a very idyllic place by the river of the valley. It was built in 1667. The architecture is fascinating both inside...

Go for a walk...

Very well cared for graveyard and church, free to enter (plus very clean toilets in an adjacent building).

Nice views of the vallay and the Bekkefossen waterfall on the way up and back.

No pavements when out of the village, but quite safe as...
