The hike is 100% worth it. You will get very close to the water fall in the beginning (and a bit wet :-)) and in most parts have a wonderful view over the valley. The best part is: the peak / destination on top of the mountain which will give you an amazing view over the fjord. The trail is narrow and when rainy/wet not easy. You need good stamina, 2h time to get on top (2h back as well) and it is quite humid in the forest part (first 3-4km). In total a bit over 700m ascent and only 3-4 parking spaces right at the main road of the valley (but more a bit closer to Aurlandsvangen a couple of minutes away...

The hike is very steep, and the way can be muddy, slippery and at some point confusing, but in general, it is well signposted, and it is not as difficult as the reviews in internet say. With good shoes, it's medium. The way down might be strenuous for the knies. I say it as a woman who doesnt really work out much, and do hiking once a year, maybe.

The hiking is fun, the view is breathtaking and it is also an awesome way for mushroom rathering. I saw some a variety of edible mushrooms. Way better than taking the...

This hiking trail has some challenging aspects to it such as the steep/slippery slopes and would only recommend it for experienced hikers. It becomes more challenging as you progress but less experienced and in shape hikers should be fine for about 1hr which will take you far enough for great pictures and a nice view of the area. You will not be disappointed with this trail no matter what your hiking experience level is - just be careful of where you step and you...

Did a loop hike passing the waterfall and going up to the Berg. Continued to the Stegastein viewpoint (platform) and then down to Aurlandsvangen. STUNNING hike with lots of different paths and views. Good hiking boots and tick spray are a must though. We parked on the road and there is room for about three cars but it was not busy.
