If you can't see the city you have stopped a little too soon! There is a stop beat the beautiful going area that has a pole and seems like the top (lots of the photos on Google are of this area). Keep following the path and you will find the beautiful cliffs. We found the path was not appears that clearly marked - get a good set of instructions before you start. The ski lift area they are building takes you directly there, so if in doubt you can take a short cut up the...

Thoroughly thoroughly recommend this place! Probably one of my happiest places to trail run/hike up to and just take in the breathtaking view. Almost every time I have been there (20+ times probably) I have had to just sit for at least 5-10 minutes at each of the viewpoints (there are about 5 or 6 different points to view a different landscape over the whole valley if you look/dare). A different view each and every time so go back a few...

Kolsastoppen is a wonderful quick pick hike. If you have 2 to 3 hrs when you are in Oslo and are thinking of spending some quality time with nature then go for it. It is ideal from Oct to Jan. The route starts from Hauger Tban station. Just set your GPS on toppenveien and the rest you will see markings made for the trail upto the hill top. The mountain trail is 800mtrs and should take...
