Hellen fortress — Attraction in Bergen

From Åsane bus terminal we took the bus 5 bound to Loddefjord and stopped at Hellebakken. You will pass the Spar store and there's a hill the leads to a long road up to the fortress. There's a lot to see when you reached the top. You can hike to Eidsvågfjellet, it offer too a not so equipped playground and you can see the sunset facing the ocean in the fort. There's a bench there too. So its really good to relax ,few people visiting this place. This is a great short city hike. It is an old road to a WWII fort that had large guns protecting the city. During the battle six men died and there is a small memorial for them next to the gun sites.
