Vannbassengane — Attraction in Eigersund

An outdoor recreation area for everyone! As a visitor to Egersund, it is easy to miss out on this area, due to the local name "vannbassengene" which means water pools, directly translated. In reality, this is a network of well made walkpaths, park areas and swimming lakes with both benches and diving boards. The locals use this area all year round for outdoor activities. The inclination on the walk paths can be a bit steep in some areas, but mostly, it is a flat landscape with plenty of forest and some view points around. Special recommendation: "Låvaberget" in the far end of vannbassengene, is a nice place to have a open air picnic. There is benches available and a Lean-to building as cover from any rain and wind.
