We (2 adults) had a very good time at Evje Mineralsti. At first it is a little bit difficult to find, but they have enough parking areas in front of the shop. The entrance fee is 100nok for adults and all equipment is included. You get a hammer, a chisel, safety glasses and a bucket. And there were helmets, but they were not needed. At first you get an instruction with examples what you could find and where to look. Afterwards you can start in field 1 right in front. There are 4 other fields, but we only went to one other. In the field you can dig up minerals in the ground or pick some rocks to find some hidden minerals. It was quite challenging but a lot of fun. Afterwards someone from the shop sits down with you and tells you what minerals you found and what they are used for. Quite interesting and surprising. I think we found 8 or 9 different ones. Amazing place and superbly friendly and helpfull kiosk worker. Will answer your questions and give suggestions. We spent there 4 hours witch felt like 10 minutes. We got few interesting stones with biotite and few small qwartz gems and amazonite. For 100kr you get access to mines and equipment you might need. Definetly worth visit if you are...

Ein tolles Ausflugsziel für Familien. Für 300kr. darf die ganze Familie sich beim Mineralienabbau vergnügen. Auf einer großen Fläche sind Mineralgesteine zum zerkleinern. Jede Person darf ca. 1kg Mineralgestein mit nach Hause nehmen. Die Menge wird aber nicht gewogen. Also einfach nicht übertreiben und ein paar schöne Steine mit nach Hause nehmen.
Genügend Schutzausrüstung in verschiedenen Größen ist vorhanden.
