This hike is definitely NOT for beginners! As someone not so used to mountain hiking, I found it quite difficult, very technical and physically demanding. It took us about 1.5 hours to reach the top and 1 hour to come back down. Some sections are particularly exposed and impressive, requiring full concentration to stay on the path and not feel overwhelmed (at least for me).
As like most mountain hikes in Lofoten, you need proper hiking gear (shoes), without it this trail is nearly impossible. It’s all mud, rocks, and uneven terrain.
The viewpoint where you can see the bridge is still a stretch away from the summit. I was already too overwhelmed to go all the way there but my husband did and is very nice :)
