Fyresvatn — Attraction in Fyresdal

Great area for outdoor activities. I strongly recommend especially Øynuten island. The cultural nature trail around the island of Øynuten runs along the mainland coast in the south of Lake Fyresvatnet, which stretches into the distance like a sea fjord. You can explore the caves of trolls. The tourist attractions include the cave church in the caves of the trolls, where cave services have been held since 1911. You will also see the beaver castle, the Glomfoss waterfall, and beautiful lake views. Unfortunately, information boards are written only in Norwegian and German, English is missing. It is worthwhile to extend the nature trail by climbing to Øynutentoppen, the highest mountain of the island.
