You start walking along the Fyresvatn (Lake of Fyresdal) and then the wooden pathway will take you among raspberry bushes, then high up on the treetops, mostly among pine trees until you walk up to the highest point where you have a wide view over mountain tops and the lake. A green refreshing breathtaking walk giving you a nice feeling of fresh air and a broad view. The walk is easy for all, you can stop in the woods and cook some food in some places fitted with logs and barbecue with a gorgeous view and places to seat. A toilet is available near the first part of the track, almost facing the lake. You are supposed to take your food with you, but in case you will find a bar/fast food place in the parking (fee is due 😬and quite expensive ... But no fee is to be paid for the Hamaren tretopp walk 😊) down on the lake, just a few meters...

I would recommend for families at least to go on the walk up to the view first, then go to the a nice playground farther down. (There are signs in English and Norwegian showing where everything is).
