It's worth stopping for some photos, but the toilet was locked when we visited at night. That was disappointing. Hopefully, it is just closed temporarily while being repaired. The container to the right of the toilet also takes away from the beautiful sight. There was a really nice monument for soldier that died when their submarine sunk in WW2. As far as toilets with a view go, I was personally more impressed by the ones on Senja island and especially Mefjordvær.

This parking and memorial for a sunken submarine in the 2nd world war is definitely worth a stop. Its scenic and has a very clean and interestingly architectured bathroom. But what caught my eyes the most were the benches made out of solid beautiful rock!

Wir haben hier eine längere Pause gemacht. Der Rastplatz ist schön gestaltet, nur hatten wir leider nur Regen und Wind. So konnten wir nicht die Treppe nutzen um ans Wasser oder zu den unteren Picknickbänken zu gelangen. Bei diesem Wetter war es auch nicht sehr angenehm auf das WC zu gehen. Die Kunststoff Klobrille war gerissen und schon mit Klebeband versucht zu tapen. Erfolglos.So bleibt einem nur der blanke Edelstahl und der ist sehr kalt am Popo. Durch die Konstruktion des Gebäudes zieht auch der Wind überall durch. Also nur ein Schönwetter WC. Mein Mann war dann auf dem Behinderten WC. Dort war alles ok. Klobrille nicht kaputt und entgegengesetzt zum Wind. Ansonsten haben beide WC s ,Toilettenpapier, fließend Wasser,Seife und Papierhandtücher.

Awesome architecture in magnificent surroundings. However, I feel this WC’s fame has taken its toll and the interior is starting to be somewhat ‘broken’ by visitors. Hole where soap dispenser was and mirror push out of its frame. Disappointing that anyone would want to do this given that 99% of Norwegian public WCs...
