A truly beautiful...and special...church. For it is octagonaly shaped ! It is also truly important in Norway's history of independence, for one of the absolutely ! first meetings regarding the new Norwegian 🇳🇴 independence were held within these walls ! Also: the adornments on the walls (& especially the ceiling) are just..magnifcent. (Btw.: note the marble-ing effect on the wooden pillars).

I went to Toneheim Folk High School 1990-91. Music. This is the church where the choir first performed Förklädd Gud... A beautiful piece for orchestra and choir. Lovely church!!! And the fact that it is octagonal... 😍. First time there was a place of worship here, was in the mid-1100. It dates back to Olav den Heilage.

Nice inside and out. Beautiful concert by the amazing musical talent from nearby Toneheim folk high school.
