We visited on a Sunday and as we approached, the smell of fresh waffles welcomed us. The waffles were delicious! We toured the farmhouse which had lots of interesting photos and furnishings. But the included tour, led by Thomas, was amazing! He was so knowledgeable and funny. As Americans, we learned a little about general Norwegian history and a lot of local facts. The room in the Boat House with an exhibit on Arctic Ocean fishing was very cool and unexpected. The bathrooms were clean and the grounds gave us excellent photos. Read moreStrange place, very sleepy. Peaceful setting and a handy stop off on the way to Runde from Ulsteinvik. Nice views of islands. There are clean toilets and a short scenic walk with sheep that pester you for your sandwiches. The outdoors bit is free, you can pay to see inside the museums - these aren't very interesting, a collection of old shipping stuff but no explanation as to what anything is so I wouldn't bother. There's an outdoor theatre and it would probably be a nice setting to come and see a play if there was...
