Runde — Attraction in Herøy

We stopped on Runde for one night to see the puffins The weather was awful ! Pouring down and low clouds making visibility However we did get to see the puffins which was incredible. After following the path up the cliff there will be a fork carry on straight again and follow it all the way to the top there will be another fork this time keep to the right you will then carry in and eventually come to a little platform with steps on the other side. After taking the steps it become very rocky and there is a wire fence making out a boundary not to cross. After coming down the steps the fence will be in your right, don’t just stop here if you carry in round and climb over some more rocks you will have better views and loads...

We came here when it was raining. But we tried to go to Lundera to see puffins. They are there from april to august and good place is on the left side from schedule with Lundera name. It was cloudy and nothing to see. But we waited for puffins time (19:30) and they really came. And they were so close....

Wat een fantastische ervaringen hebben we gehad op Runde! Een van de hoogtepunten van onze vakantie.

We verbleven in een accommodatie op ongeveer 50 km van Runde (Reinebu in Ørsta) en hebben Runde als dagtocht bezocht. Zo konden we iets meer rekening houden met het weer.

De auto hebben we geparkeerd bij de camping en vanaf daar zijn we de wandeling gestart. We hebben de gehele route op het bergplateau gelopen, echt een aanrader. We zijn om 14:00 uur met de wandeling gestart en hadden eten meegenomen voor de avond. Om 18:15 zijn we bij het uitzichtpunt voor de papegaaiduikers gaan zitten. Het begon al drukker te worden, maar we hadden nog een goede plek. Honderden papegaaiduikers kwamen om 19:00 aan land. Ook een zeearend gezien. Een ervaring om niet...
