Only the story about the millstones makes this centre a worthwhile destination. A very nice and educated young man from Scotland captivated us with his stories about the Vikings and taught us the correct handling of bow and arrow. There was enough time for us to make something nice out of a few pieces of soapstone. Here you can spend even more time. Thank you for the guided tour.

This was a wonderful open air museum. Great graphic signs perfect for both adults and children alike. Roughly an hour hike at various stops. Gorgeous views, nature, great history lesson. It was worth the 1.5 hour drive to see this unique cultural site.

The museum is build around the quary. It is very nice and informative. The young man and lady who were working there could tell us a lot about the millstones and the work around it. Very nice to hear their enthusiasm!

A really interesting visit, thanks to the walking layout, beautiful handwork and placards telling us about the place and its importance. We were unlucky I think with the young staff who preferred to talk to each other, but perhaps activities were finished...
