I wanted to visit the Hardanger Maritime Center, since I saw the Fremad restauration video on social-media. I visited it on thursday afternoon. At the moment, there are big works for the new visitor center, that's why first I was a little lost on the site. But the staff there was helpful and super friendly. I recommend this visit to everyone, wo likes (historical) craftmanship.

Children can build their own wooden boats and there is lots...

During our visit unfortunately nobody was working (it was Sunday), however during the week you can see people at work in metal shop, shipyard and handmade ropes and tackle. This is also the place where both private wooden boats/yachts and museum owned vessels are docked awaiting restoration. Super cool even for adults opportunity make the hand made rope ourselves! Which we did :) When the weather is not on your side, it’s a nice place to spend...
