The nature is gorgeous. If this is on your way, stop to experience. It is very close to the road so you can visit by car easily. There is a big parking lot, and (not very clean) toilets. You'll use 30 minutes tops, so I recommend doing it if it is on your way somewhere. We went one Sunday from Bergen only to see it, drove an hour and an hour back and I would not recommend that,as there is not much in the area apart from the waterfall. You could try going for a hike somewhere around, then it migh be worth the drive. We found online that there is a caffe/souvenir store nearby so we did not bother to eat before we left - that was a mistake. The souvenir shop/caffe is very crowded and seems like part of someone's house rather then a place of business. They only offer sweets and generic tourist souvenirs. A bit of a failure for such a beautiful piece of nature - tourist facilities around it should be to a much higher standard. If you are a nature lover, worth it - go there expecting only to enjoy some beautiful water falling. And if there is not a crowd of tourists around, you might even get a moment of silence and white noise standing under the...

Okay, so Steinsdalsfossen might not be Norway's highest waterfall (it's 46 meters, with a 20-meter main drop!), but trust me, it's pretty special all the same.

The coolest part? You can literally walk behind the thundering cascade without getting wet and feel totally enveloped by its roar – talk about an immersive experience! Apparently, it's at its most epic in May-June when the snow melt makes it super full. So timing is crucial here.

Now, full disclosure: this one's a major tourist magnet and basically right on the edge of town, so if you're a hardcore wilderness seeker, it might lose a tiny bit of its appeal compared to some of Norway's more secluded waterfalls. But it's still incredibly picturesque.

Now, before you zoom off, don't miss the quirky phone booth library near the car park! Leave a book you've read, pick up your next read – it's a fun, unexpected find.

That said, definitely worth a stop to witness nature's power up close, even if it comes with a...

Must see in Norway! Free entry and parking available.

Absolutely beautiful waterfall. The walk-up is easy, and there is a railing for those who need assistance. Taking photos under the waterfall is a must. Walk with a rain jacket with hoddie and proper shoes.

There are 2 souvenir shops, one has jackets, mugs, trolls, socks, gloves, mus etc. The other has coffee, ice cream, jewelery, viking stuff, magnets, and more. I would check them both out before deciding. Some items are cheaper than others.

Ice cream was great with dusted cocoa and licorice sprinkles! So do it!

Don't forget that if you are visiting Norway, there is tax/ duty-free shopping. Tell the attendant, and they will give you a form to use when leaving the country to submit with all of your receipts. It adds up, and you get back a...
