This is a very well rounded museum and information center. Loads of free maps, a great photo room that shows the history of local glacial sheets, lots of useful maps (many of which are free), plus a place to get coffee and warm up by a fireplace!
Incidentally, everyone speaks English, is super friendly and very informative on all sorts of local things so ask for help if you need extra things to do. They also have info on loads of local hikes that bigger books...
