I’ve always loved visiting this area and have brought friends here more than once to share its incredible beauty. deffinatly, this place deserves 10 stars. Unfortunately, this time the experience was deeply disappointing and upsetting.

We approached the harness station near the glacier and clearly told the staff member that we were not joining the glacier hike — we just wanted to take a few photos from a safe distance, without stepping onto the glacier. He responded with “okay.”

However, just a few steps later — still at least 40 meters away from the glacier — the same staff member began shouting at us aggressively. He told us we "don’t belong in Norway" and ordered us to leave in a hostile and xenophobic tone.

We tried to calmly explain that we had already informed him of our intentions, but he wouldn’t listen. His behavior was unprofessional, offensive, and completely ruined the moment.

Norway is a country I deeply respect, and I’ve always felt welcome here. I truly hope the management addresses this behaviour so that future visitors aren’t treated...

With 2 kids (4 and 6 years old) we took about an hour to reach the view point from the carpark. The walk is challenging for family, but definitely is doable. It costs 80 NOK to access the car park, only accepts coins or credit card. I saw many people signed up for glacier walk, my husband and I were interested but my kids are not qualified for the min age of 8. We took the boat to return from mid-point because my younger is too tired from walk. But I see many kids completed the route. The view is breathtaking and I am glad the I could see the glacier in my...

A Stunning piece of ice to behold. On our long blue hike we encountered a flash blizzard, with 'ice bullets' hiting our group like paintball guns! Leaving us with small red welts all over our bodies. Personally, i found this to be one of my most favoured experiences on the glacier. Trees were unrooted in the surrounding area, the boatman and various guides said they've never experienced anything like this...

Very beautiful place. A sight to behold on your travels in Norway. There are so many beautiful lakes to see along all the Norwegian fjell that it should become tiring to take photographs of them all, but the reflections at Nigardsbreen is just astonishing. Stopping here is not only great for the beautiful view, but you will also find a great spot to have lunch or simply just have a bathroom brake.
