Storfossen — Attraction in Malvik

Nice place to go and enjoy the nature. There's a parking cca 500 meters from the faterfall, however I would recommend to hike from Hommelvik, distance is about 6km one side and there's a track near with the river which is not really complex to go. There was a stone avalanche at the beginning of the track some time ago and slightly dangerous alternative path has been created, it's not really safe to hike it in the running shoes, use special hiking shoes with a good rifle bottom for safety reasons. True beauty by the all mighty mother nature. Place is worth of visiting for people with healthy legs. Walk path from parking place to the waterfall is not too easy even on dry day and on rainy day tree roots on the path can be very slippery. It is also good to watch where you step since there is some 'slippery landmines'...

Zugang zum Wasserfall nach einigen Metern bergab möglich. Das letzte Stück geht über Holzbrücken. Am Wasserfall direkt wird man ziemlich nass. Um den Wasserfall aber zu sehen eine guter kleiner Fußmarsch. Festes Schuhwerk nötig, da es über wurzeln und nasse Wege geht. Möchte man allerdings weiter runter den Weg entlang wird es sehr steil und rutschig. Wenn man die große Runde gehen will sind es 6,7 km. Man muss allerdings den selben Weg immer zurück. Bei unserem Versuch über einen anderen Weg, der ebenfalls eingezeichnet war zurück zum Parkplatz zu kommen mussten wir uns erst den Weg durch Schafscheiße durchkämpfen um dann vor einem Gatter zu stehen.
