Small ski lift station very close to Oslo. Great location as it is just on outskirts of capital easy reachable by train or car. Free parking, small coffee shop, ski rental, free wood and bbq's available for customer use. Only two ski lifts and only two but very decent slopes. Hey what else you need to enjoy chilly Norwegian weather? My girls could not have enough of fun in beginners area where they totally enjoyed sledging. Place also seems to be suitable and worth visiting with children during warm season as it has lovely wooden walking paths and all-nature-integrated playground slightly away from slopes tucked in between trees. There is plenty to do for little explorers - walking, climbing, bird and bug wathing, building den and highding or having oversleep in a vigvam. All free of charge. Oh and... outdoor toilet booth available. No doors in place but toilet paper, symphony of surrounding trees and singing birds are available :)

We travelled to this location with our 14 years old son from Oslo looking for snow. Everything is so organised. Unfortunately none of us are skiing and, even though there is a slope for sledges you don’t have an option to rent one there. My son then decided he wants to ski but there was no availability for instructors on the day as they were all fully booked. A member of staff gave him the basic instructions on how to stop and steer which was so helpful. We then used the beginners slope to train and shortly he was able to ski with no help which gave us a well deserved break around the campfire to enjoy a delicious hot chocolate with cream and marshmallows from the caffe. Definitely recommend it.

Update 21.04.2018: still great conditions this late in the season. A small but ok ski resort. Especially this season when there has been an abundance of snow. Four stars because of the very limited amenities and that there are no chairlifts there. You really need those minutes of relaxation between the runs. It's weird that ski resorts still allow skiing without helmet on. And why isn't protective net mandatory everywhere?
